Some thoughts and support amidst COVID-19
from those of us at MANEreviews.com

Are you, like us, somewhat daunted or overwhelmed with the extraordinary events surrounding us all? Does it feel like the messages and actions proposed out there are continually changing? Do any of us know what the impact of all this will be on ourselves, our families, our businesses?

The question for us then is how can we support the many people we work with. Here's some of what we have come up with so far;
  • we have many communication tools for text and email that we offer to everyone in hair & beauty for any messaging you wish to get to your customers. Many of our clients have put out several messages through us to their clients and we can't get over the the positive support and responses we see coming back from clients to their salons.
  • we are starting to compile a library of assistance and support options and contacts directly related to everyone in the hair & beauty industry. It's early days and the information changes frequently just now, yet we intend to post what we find out early next week. We would appreciate any information anyone has. Please email or call John Doucette as noted below.
  • we plan to publish emails like this one weekly to update everyone we know with whatever information may prove helpful.

As we all proceed day by day to deal with Covid 19, health is the first consideration, and the survival of our businesses follows soon after. Here are some suggestions you may want to take into account;

  • Have you contacted your landlord to explore options for deferring rent?
  • Have you contacted any of your vendors to see if payments can be deferred?
  • Have you contacted your bank to inquire what support they are considering?
  • Have you thought of drafting a newsletter or memo on a bi-weelkly basis to keep your clients up to date? (And we can help with that if you like)
  • Are you staying positive and considering painting or giving your salon a facelift or touch-up?
  • Have you considered a weekly call with any staff you have or suppliers you're close to, to stay updated with each other?

We plan to issue an email and post an article like this weekly. If there are questions, thoughts, or ideas you think others would benefit from, please send them our way.
